Named for the Moroccan port of Tangier where the fruit first shipped to the west, tangerine oil is harvested early in the season to capture a much sharper, more zesty bite. High in gamma-terpinene, a compound that sets it apart from standard sweet oranges, its intensely tangy aroma cuts through morning brain fog and delivers an energetic spark to your senses.

While the tiny seeds in a vanilla pod contribute to the aroma, much of the vanillin and other complex phenolic compounds concentrate primarily in the pod wall and surrounding resin.
